Too much wild fun going on here at the moment and now a mad panic before a family gathering of around 40 in less than 2 weeks time.........
Spare room to be painted, the garden to be tamed (?) and a mink to be caught that ate two of our chooks last night, little bugger..............
The joys of country life, it's not all a bed of roses.

I'm sorry the mink has been causing havoc with your chickens!
I hope you can enjoy getting ready for the family gathering. It's nice to get things looking in tip-top shape, but no one will notice if you don't get everything done that you want to! :o)
Blessings!
Poor chooks, good luck with the mink hunt and the garden and the ... oh Lisa your list is long.
Hi Lisa,
Good luck with getting everything organized for your family's visit.
Sorry to hear about your chickens. If it's not mink, it seems to be foxes. It must be hard to lose them when they have characters that you get to know.
I was reading Heather's blog (Eie Flud) yesterday and she is devastated that a fox killed one of her hens, which she had rescued from a battery farm.

Oh dear, I remember the mink on Mull eating all of our friend's chickens, she was livid but said it was the nature of things. Mink are one of the only creatures that kills for sport - horrid little things!
Good luck with your 40-strong (!) family gathering, it sounds like fun!
Oh! A mink! Sorry about your chickens! When my dad was a boy, he caught a mink that had caused damage in his grandmother's chicken coop. They are little buggers!!!
When I was a child, my dad found an oppossum in our chicken coop (on the same family farm)!
