Christmas door wreaths

I'm getting there with the gearing up for Christmas in the Studio, it has certainly cheered me up as it's a time of year that I absolutely love. Nicola, my trusty little elf, delivered me a couple of door wreaths this week, one for on the Studio door and one for inside. Given that she was a florist in her previous life, she has taken over the task of making our door wreaths this year! And they are just gorgeous, made traditionally with a mossed ring, they are made up with lots of hedgerow finds and other natural bits and bobs. Just perfect for any discerning front door, and what better way to welcome friends in to your home over the festive period.

In previous years I have done the whole running around like a blue ar**d flee delivering everyones wreaths, this year we are asking that you come and pick them up from the studio, you will be welcomed with mince pies and maybe even some mulled wine, who could refuse an offer like that! Obviously we're only expecting locals to order them...........

They can be made up with a natural hessian ribbon or a red satin ribbon, the choice is yours, and all for just £20. Bit of a bargain really.

P.S. I'm off to a Sarah Raven Christmas Flower arranging day next week so no doubt I'll be helping out with the wreath making over the next couple of weeks!

Oh I would so love to go to one of Sarah Raven's courses. Have a fantastic time. The door wreaths are gorgeous. I only wish I lived near enough to order one. Having a bit of a 'discussion' with Simon about a Christmas wreath as he doesn't like them but as this is my first Christmas with a proper front door(didn't count having a flat door opening onto a communal corridor as a proper front door!)I am so looking forward to having one. I think I need to show him an example of how stylish they can be. Glad all the Christmas preparations are cheering you up a bit. x

That is a beautiful wreath, and lucky you going to a Sarah Raven Workshop, looking forward to hearing all about it.

I do like door wreaths. I can't wait for the 1 of December to put mine on my door.

Have a great day at the Sarah Raven course - am sure it will be wonderful for. Tough time lately. Are you going down to Sussex or is it in Scotland? (I think she's in Scotland this week).

Thank yo for the wreath love, isn't my little elf a clever girl! She decorated the studio today so it is now ivy and berry clad, just gorgeous!
Sarah Raven is coming up to Scotland to a local garden centre, just south of Pitlochry. She is demonstrating Christmas flowers and food I think, plus setting up shop for the day so I'm hoping to but my seeds and maybe a few other bits.....! Oooh, the excitement!
