Another New Year lies ahead............

Another year has passed us by, our first full year here at Mill of Fyall................
It has been a great year, very busy, but a very happy one. We spent a magical Hogmanay "up the glen" at the Blackwater Hall, not far from Glen Shee. Lots of ceilidh dancing was done until the power went off at about 11.30pm, but it wasn't long until we were back in action once "the geny" was hooked up, all very "Monarch of the Glen" and absolutely wonderful!
2007 will hopefully be a good year, I'm really looking forward to getting stuck into the garden this year now that the veggie garden is built, it'll be nice to keep a diary of it all here. It will be another busy year with the business as we're doing the Country Living Spring Fair Scotland again at the end of March, which I'm really looking forward to. Gregg also has an exciting year ahead as he starts a new job at the beginning of March.
The photo above was taken this time last year when we had about a foot of snow, it was amazing! We congregated with all the neighbours and their children in one of the fields and had a mass sledging, snowboarding and skiing day, it was just fab! Unfortunately we've not had any snow yet this winter, but as soon as we have I'll post some pictures!
Well, all thats left for me to say is that I wish everyone a prosperous and safe 2007 and hope that you all stick to those New Year resolutions (at least until the end of January!).

A very Happy New Year to you Lisa. I hope it is a happy, creative and successful one.
Your New Years Eve sounded fun. We had a very quiet one which is the way I like it.
Looking forward to reading more of your blog in 2007.

When I first saw the picture I announced to everyone in the household - SNOW IN SCOTLAND - everyone disaggreed, knowing one or other people up there who had made comment that they had not had snow yet. I should have read your blog first... oh well. Will await posts of the new fallen snow.

Best wishes for 2007 Ginny

Happy New Year Lisa. I look at your phboto and wish that we did have some snow up here - I'm getting fed up looking at the mud - a nice white blanket would look much more picturesque.

What a wonderful pic of the snow. No snow here yet either, a touch of frost over christmas, but now all is wet and mild. Enjoy 2007. Can't wait to see the veg garden up and running..
